‘Good’ is an Americanism and a meaningless one in the context of a greeting. Older people in the U.K. still say ‘I’m fine (or well)’. ‘Good’ in the previous sense meant a description of positive or negative behaviour as in ‘I’m being bad’ or a post-action description as in ‘That’s good’ or ‘That’s bad.’ So ‘I’m good’ in the US greeting sense means that you’re behaving well!

Its confusing, i think we say *iam fine, thanks, and you? * its not wrong, its the way we say when we meet ppl at first time or in formal situation. *iam good, yea see u later * its for ppl we knew well and oftenly meet.

Yes, we do that in the Philippines, because that's the formal way of greetings. You do that in england and it does in all places ang all countries, that's the informal way of greeting an aquintances. There's no problem with that.

I have been learning English since kindergarten. I moved to England a few months ago, and I found this video exceptionally useful. At my workplace, I'm the only one who looks different, but luckily, people are generally nice to me. Whenever colleagues ask me, "You alright?", I try to tell them as much as possible.
